Porter rode this one to #5 in late June 1964. Bit of a comeback tune for him because his previous two singles had missed the top ten. Judging from the glare of his rhinestones and the crystal clear audio this appears to be from videotape. Superb quality for a clip almost 50 years old!

Very nice audio clip of a song that I’ve always liked . For the next decade or so, this was a favorite song for local bands in Virginia to cover
