Yall need to post more stuff up about Martina McBride. Like that banner on the top of this website???
Where’s Martina? She’s the Queen of Country!
Those artists on the banner are our favorite artists, like I picked Sugarland as my favorite, for example.
Martina is a favorite of mine, and I’ve been meaning to review “I Just Call You Mine”…
There already is a review for Shine up on the site, and hopefully I’ll have a review for Emotion up soon.
Why aren’t you featuring Kayla King?
Thanks for mentioning HANK’s song in the Gene Watson review !!!
He will be excited to know about it.
Hank’s long-time publicist
i enjoy very much what you’re doing on this site. it’s actually perfect during a little coffee break – a classic clip combined with a quick read of one of your reviews. nice work y’all.

Hi Dale. Sending me an email would have been simpler, but it’s nice to see you finally found the blog. How’s life in the big city?
“i’m tired of this dirty ol city, tired of too much work and never enough play, and i’m tired of these dirty ol sidewalks think its time some guys like me had some fun so big city turn me loose and set me free -Merle Haggard
Yeah, you’ll fit in nicely here with lyrics like that as your comments. 🙂 Hope you keep coming back too.
Happy New Year 2009……..
Where you been?……DRINKIN?
I need to find the DVD for the special dedication to George Strait last yeat. I belive it was early in the year or bef June 2009. A lot of country stars were present. I thnik it was aired on KQED but not sure about that. Please can someone help me with this. At the end all of the stars were up on the stage. I missed the whole thing except the very end because I did not know it was on.
Please help me find this DVD
Hey just wanted say thanks for not being a site full of negativity and instead being a positive site where I can learn about great country music!
Thanks, Sara. Glad you found us too. I enjoyed the songs on your myspace page as well, particularly ‘Where I Stand’. Look forward to hearing more from you.
Hi – Where can I mail CD’s for review consideration?
Hi, I just wanted to say that I have enjoyed your site for sometime now. I am a semi-newcomer to country. My daughter was brought on stage and Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban and Dierks Bentley signed her cowboy hat! This was many years ago in Worcester Mass and her excitement was so infectious our whole family started being country fans! I am a graphic designer and I own a screen printing company and its wasn’t long before I was making country t shirts for all her friends! After a few years and many sales (and many country concerts)I figured I would try it as a business! So far…so good! I would love to get your feedback! Thanks so much…love your site! I have told many friends about it! Frank
hi please could you send me the lyrics of second time around by georgette jones
Tks I really appreciate
If you are looking for a better type of country music, the kind that hearkens back to the good old days, check out http://www.moosechaser.com. The young start up group out of Los Angeles has really embraced something true to the core of outlaw country western lost in the days since country turned sterile.
Hi ! You just came across my radar and I hate I didn’t find you earlier! Thank you so much for placing a link over to NashvilleHype! on here … I’ve placed you on my blogroll as well and wish you continued success!
Does anyone know when the 2012 Country Music Hall of Fame inductees will be announced?
Hey you guys. I think I should be in the running for Best Country Blog!
You work hard and get no recognition in this hobby.
What a great website! My name is Rowena Muldavin and I’ve been doing an internet radio show called All Things Country for Heartland Public Radio on HPR1, http://www.hpr.org. The show is a mix of new and old, with an emphasis on independent artists who are recording REAL country music that is not heard on commercial radio. I play Amber Digby, as well as Miss Leslie, Dale Watson, Becky Hobbs, Darrell McCall, Mona McCall, Bob Plunkert and many more. I’d love to do an interview with you.
Thank you for this website. All the writers are excellent and please know how much you are appreciated for what you do for Country music.
Sandy pinkard found dead this morning.such a waste of great talent to be taken away from us by overdose.
Not true. That report was made in error. Mr. Pinkard is alive & well.
Check out Jimmie Van Zant! He’s of the same Van Zant family that started Lynyrd Skynyrd and .38 Special and he’s got a brand new music video premiering TONIGHT at 8pm on Ustream!
Southern rock lives on!!!
http://youtu.be/jzCDJLGEqoQ this is a new country project coming out of Richmond,Va hope to hear some thoughts back from you. Originals are coming soon
Hey everyone out there. Just wanted to let you know Cashbox Magazine and Record World Magazine are back and doing great. Its about time Billboard got taught a lesson
Thank you to Paul Dennis for the positive mention of my early music in a January blog. I returned to music full time a couple of years ago and hope you’ll check out the new stuff. I really like what everyone’s writing here and will visit often.
I’ve found some amazing artists on here, but one girl’s music which I am TOTALLY in love with isn’t anywhere on here! Her name is Lindi Ortega. My personal favorite album of hers is Cigarettes & Truckstops. Would love to see a review of it on here!
can anybody let me know what has happened to DAVE LOGGINS, this guy has written some truly amazing songs, songs of life, that mean an awful lot to an awful lot of people. To my knowledge, little as it possibly is, he hasn’t written and recorded himself for a good many years. To my mind DAVID LOGGINS, was one of the finest songwriters of, of the 70, and early 80, So Mr Loggins please come back with your wonderful lyrics, and songs, that i would call SONGS OF LOVE AND LIFE.
Love all your retro reviews! I must have spent hours reading them yesterday!! Keep them coming! All those great stars of yesteryears!!
New Single coming out on Valentines. Follow my twitter if you’d like to be the first to hear 🙂
No Dottie West, pretty weak.
Wanted to let you know I put out a song called “Carhartt Coat” on 11/20. So far it’s got 60,000 views on Facebook, almost 6,000 on YouTube , and got added to this playlist https://open.spotify.com/playlist/37i9dQZF1DWVn8zvR5ROMB?si=fc7eJ7yrQUOy2oNK6reEsQ
Hope you have a great Thanksgiving!
Why can we not watch Wynonna singing anywhere with jesus?
Hi, I’m a country singer from Belgium and I just released my first song written by myself.
Would be glad you would check it out and let me know what you think.
Thanks and greetings from Belgium, the country famous for its French fries and good beers 🙂
Dear Country Lovers,
we are „Grateful Cat“, a two-peace band from Berlin.
In our new Video we try to play Cowgirl and Cowboy, feed animals, sleep on haybales, and even play Banjo.
That`s at least how two city-kids imagine themselves in the country …
The song is called „I`d love to write a country song but I`m city girl“ and we hope you like it.
If you want to share it with your employees or friends, or even post it somewhere we would be delighted. Maybe it brings joy to some people …
Greetings from Germany,
Gwendolin & Franky
We will post this. It is a great article on the music trades. I am the current owner of Cashbox http://www.cashboxmagazine.org and Record World at http://www.recordworldmagazine.org We are very much alive and doing well and I dare say we are trying to make all the charts credible again.
