    This, along with George Strait’s ‘Baby’s Gotten Good At Goodbye’ are the basis of my earliest memories of recorded music. I think this is actually the first song I ever learned the words to as a child.

    It’s still one of my all-time favorite country songs to this day too. Steve Wariner has a long line of excellent songs

    Random flashback and a nice surprise. Wariner is definitely forgotten and underrated far too often today. His “Drivin’ and Cryin'” single is one of the first times I can remember radio not turning something I loved into a hit – an occurrence that would only increase in frequency over the next 15 years.
