    I got to see Gus Hardin perform in January 1984 at the Five Seasons Center in Cedar Rapids Iowa as part of a free show sponsored by a local radio station – as I recall Jim Glaser was the headliner.

    Gus didn’t have too many hits – this song was a top ten duet with Earl Thomas Conley. Her first RCA single went top ten but the next several failed to reach the top twenty, After this single, none of her records made any significant chart impact. Gus Hardin died in a car crash on Highway 20 east of Claremore, Oklahoma on the way home from singing at a Sunset Grill in Tulsa, on February 17, 1996.She never reached the level of success who talent would have predicted
