A bold song title for a woman country singer!–Particularly one who was averse to showing more skin onstage than what was on her hands or above her neck.

Once again unluckyoldsun is so wrong on so many levels.

Are you at all familiar with this song prior to seeing this post or did you immediately post your inane comment based only upon the title? To be clear this song is about a woman hoping to rekindle a former relationship. It’s not about being promiscuous. The song tells the story of a woman hopelessly and desperately in love who is willing to do anything to resurrect the romance. Once you LISTEN to the lyrics – which you obviously have not done – the true meaning becomes perfectly clear. Based upon how popular this song was it appears that a lot of people related to the lyrics.

As for your shallow sexist comment that Janie “was averse to showing more skin onstage than what was on her hands or above her neck” probably says more about you than anything you’ve ever posted here. Although the standards of today’s country music industry precludes woman beyond a certain age or who are not physically attractive and willing to expose as many of their physical assets as possible that has not always been the rule. Janie began her solo country career just shy of 30 years old. Although she did not have classic fashion model looks she was attractive but more importantly possessed a magnificent voice. She dressed in stage clothing appropriate for her age and body type that enhanced her appearance. It’s sad that you do not appreciate her vocal talent but choose to focus only on the superficial.

Not to be derailed by your inaccurate comments this was a great live performance of Janie’s 1982 number one hit. Thanks Hope.
