Charley performing his latest single on Hee Haw Sunday July 27, 1969 on CBS. At the time of that telecast his RCA Victor record had climbed to #2 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart. Two weeks later, perhaps helped by nationwide exposure on the show, “All I Have To Offer You (Is Me)” became Charley’s first number one hit.

The studio version of the song was recorded on April 15, 1969 with an all-star team of musicians including The Jordanaires. That single was not included on a regular Charley Pride album release but was issued as track on “The Best Of Charley Pride” released in October 1969. Written by “Doodle” Owens & Dallas Frazier and produced by Jack Clement, this is one of Charley’s best performances.

One of my favourite songs. A timeless classic in my opinion.
