    Great song. When Gayle was recording her album ‘Crystal’ in 1976, writer Bob McDill had sent producer Allen Reynolds a tape that included three songs he had written. You Never Miss A Real Good Thing (which went to #1), I’ll Do It All Over Again (a #2 hit), and album track Right In The Palm Of Your Hand all ended up making the album. Reynolds told him it was the best tape he had ever gotten.

    And what’s really amazing is that McDill later said he didn’t even remember writing the song. I love the arrangement, especially that amazing guitar. Crystal sounded amazing with her vocals as usual.
