    I think Patty is up there with the greatest country female vocalists of all time. In fact I would say she is kind of underrated. I always go back to her music.

    While “You’ll Never Leave Harlan” sounds like a “public domain” folk song, it was actually written by contemporary artist Darrell Scott. It first appeared on Scott’s debut album “Aloha From Nashville” in the late ’90s That album also had Scott’s original “It’s a Great Day to Be Alive,” which was later a hit for Travis Tritt.
