During the late 1960’s & early 1970’s Jerry Reed had a knack for finding songs that perfectly meshed with his quirky personality and unique musical style. “Amos Moses” and “When You’re Hot You’re Hot” are two shining examples. This Dick Feller song became his second number one single during the first week of August 1973. Four years later Feller and Reed collaborated on “Eastbound And Down” for the Smoky And The Bandit movie.

This clip is from the sixth season premier of Hee Haw that aired on September 15, 1973 and features Jerry singing live to the pre-recorded musical tracks.
