“Tryin’ To Beat The Morning Home” was TG’s second #1 , hot on the heels of his debut #1 “Devil In The Bottle” . For me that’s about where it ends for TG Sheppard. He would have more hit singles including another dozen records, but nothing similar in quality to his first two hits
I’m finding it very hard to believe that it has been twenty years since “Sold (The Grundy County Auction Incident)” . The song came with a very entertaining video.
