The Harden Trio basically had the one big hit in “Tippy Toeing” which reached #1 on Cashbox in for three weeks 1966, and four more charting singles , none of which reached the top ten.

Arlene (or Arleen) Harden had a more substantial career charting 18 singles between 1967 and 1978. Columbia had a large stable of female stars so Arlene did not get a lot of push from her label although some of her songs were regional hits – “A Special Day” went top ten in several mid-Atlantic markets, and “He’s A Good Ole Boy” also did well in the mid-Atlantic (Chely Wright included the song on her debut album). Her biggest solo hit was “Lovin’ Man” a distaff version of Orbison’s “Pretty Woman” which spent two weeks at #11 on Cashbox in 1970 (#13 Billboard)
