“Once A Day” remains the best debut single by any female singer. It’s not my favorite Connie Smith recording but it is a really fine record and it was her only Billboard #1 (“Just One Time spent two weeks at #1 on Cashbox) .
Actually none of this week’s #1s are bad and several (both 1954s, 1964, 1974, 1994 and 2004) are really worth records
