George made several recordings of this song for Starday and Mercury. My favorite version is the one that shows up on the Mercury/Wing album titled THE GREAT GEORGE JONES, issued around 1960 or 1961. While somewhat primitive sounding , I love George’s enthusiasm on songs such as “Vitamins L-O-V-E”,”Uh Uh No” and “No Money In This Deal”

    Great clip Hope.
This song was George’s third charted single for the Starday label. It peaked at #7 during the summer of 1956. MC Tex Ritter was a few inches off regarding George’s height – George listed his height at 5’7″ but was likely an inch or two shorter without his boots. George’s youthful exuberance at the dawn of his career is a joy to watch. So are the brief instrumental solos by Joe Maphis on his double-neck guitar and Marian Hall on her Bigsby steel guitar.
