Nice find – I saw Hank in concert a few years before his death. He stayed in good voice until the very end and always seemed to be enjoying performing

Great artist from the wonderful era when country singers had unique voices and distinctive instrumental trademarks. This clip dates from Hank’s later years and as Paul mentioned Hank always maintained his excellent vocal ability. Hank was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. Met him in person and had several opportunities to speak with him on the phone. He was always sincere, warm and gracious. I recommend “My Side Of Life – The Hank Thompson Biography.” Published shortly after Hank’s death on November 6, 2007, author Warren Kice based his book on hours & hours of interviews with Hank who possessed a remarkable memory up until the end of his life. It’s an excellent read for anyone interested in Hank and the Golden Age of country music.
