    Gee, and they all look presentable here.
    It went all downhill for the Oaks when the oom papa mowmow guy started coming on stage looking like a freak.

    Interestingly enough, this song had been recorded multiple times before the Oaks recorded it. I have writer Dallas Frazier’s recording of it on a Capital album from the 1960s – his arrangement is very similar to that of the Oaks except he doesn’t have the deep bass voice of Richard Sterben on the giddyup-a-oom-papa-mau-mau , which is actually what made the Oaks record
