    Anderson had some great singles in that era–“Straight Tequila Night,” “When It Comes to You,” “Seminole Wind,” “Money In the Bank,” “Bend It Until It Breaks,”–but this one was too schmaltzy–and too derivative of Harry Chapin’s “Cat’s In The Cradle.”

      I disagree. This is one of my favorites of John Anderson’s. I agree that the theme is similar to Cats in the Cradle, but I think it’s more tender.
