The original version of Paper Roses was launched by Anita Bryant in 1960. Marie Osmond with her amazing voices makes a perfect rendition of this classic. By the way, she was only 14 when she recorded it back in 1973

It should be noted that it got up to #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 in late 1973, played as it was alongside “Midnight Train To Georgia” (Gladys Knight and the Pips), “Living For The City” (Stevie Wonder), and “Photograph” (Ringo Starr), among other big hits of that time.

Little Marie doing a great job lip-synching her first big solo hit. Her “Paper Roses” album was produced by Sonny James in early June 1973 at Columbia studios in Nashville. That’s why the musical arrangements sound like a Sonny James record from that era.
