Reba is not one of her best remembered or critically acclaimed albums (actually, very few of her albums seem to be well regarded by critics), nor is it one I think to listen to often. Still, I actually quite enjoy it. The Last One to Know also falls into that category for me.

Yeah, I liked the three singles from Reba, but the rest of the album is a snoozer for me really. Same with Sweet Sixteen. Those final few Jimmy Bowen albums aren’t Reba’s best work. I’ve always thought she made her best music with Tony Brown.

I actually have all these albums except for Blake Shelton’s (and Behind Closed Doors I only have on vinyl). That’s kinda rare with these lists for me.

Also, I think Reba has the worst album cover of any Reba McEntire album. Reba channelling her inner Hillary Clinton with blonde curls and a pantsuit. ha ha

Hah! Well, other than the ridiculous cover for 1982’s Unlimited or the cartoony original album cover for 1985’s The Best of Reba McEntire, both signs of the times I reckon, I’ll have to agree with you. That blazer! I think my favorite Reba album covers are Rumor Has it and Greatest Hits Volume II. What can I say? I’m a sucker for that hat and that hair (respectively)!

Pantsuit? The photo is a head shot. And nobody outside of Arkansas had even heard of Hillary Clinton in those days. 😉

The cover photo is a headshot, but if you see other photos from that shoot, she’s wearing a pantsuit. A few years back, I bought a 1988 Reba Tour photobook – and it has a lot of the photos taken that day.

You’re right though – nobody knew who Hillary Clinton was in 1988. Or Bill Clinton for that matter. I should have said Murphy Brown. 🙂

Hate to tell you this kids but 20 years from now you’ll look at the clothes that today’s acts are wearing and wonder “what the hell were they thinking????”

Gotta tell you that Reba was right in style when those photos were taken. She received a lot of positive comments from female fans for wearing those contemporary styles. I believe that Barbara Mandrell & Dolly Parton actually started the “high fashion” trend for female country singers back in the 1970’s.

I like Reba’s Reba album but Iam like Michael A I like the three singles and that is it I do not have many other albums from Reba in the 80’s but they are on her Greatest Hits and Number 1 albums and I have those. I love Reba she is one of my favourites.
Loretta Lynn is also a favourite.
