Stellar clip from the syndicated half-hour Buck Owens TV show (often referrred to as the Buck Owens Ranch Show) The early episodes of these shows -such as this one – were videotaped in Oklahoma City. The music was performed live so it’s a wonderful time capsule of Buck & The Buckaroos and their guests from that era.

“Don”t Let Her Know” charted as the flip side ot his #1 hit “I Don’t Care (Just As Long As You Love Me)” and peaked at #33 In mid-November 1964. Tom Brumley’s steel guitar solo on this is awesome. So is Buck & Don’s harmony!

Buck was perhaps the very best at being able to replicate the sound of his records in live performance – when he wanted to do so.

In the years after this, he had accumulated so many hits that he started putting together medleys and taking songs at faster tempos than on the orginal records – they still sounded great, of course
