George’s 17th number one hit from July 1989. Country music like it’s supposed to sound.

Although I really like George Strait and have all of his albums, all of which I listen to periodically, very few of his songs are especially memorable. The body of work is excellent but I’ve always regarded George Strait as “The King of Good-To-Very Good Country”. All of his songs (including the album tracks) are at least good, but few of them are beyond very good) This isn’t a knock on George as there very few artists I can say that about in any genre of music, but it is befitting his relatively low profile on the road. This is a very good song, one of many in his illustrious career and I enjoyed hearing it again
