    I don’t deny that Seals had some talent, but please!.
    I mean, if you’re Roy Orbison you can do it, but Seals did not have a good enough voice to be singing those high notes and doing that falsetto. This is painful.

    I love the vocal trills in this song. I think Seals sings them well. I sure am digging the stripped-down bluegrassy arrangement in this video.

    Plus I always thought it was cool to hear a ‘lover vs. rodeo’ song in which the typical gender roles were reversed, with the woman being the rodeo star instead of the man (as in “Rodeo,” “Someday Soon,” “I Can Still Make Cheyenne,” etc.).
