There is a very small group of country music performers that have brought something superbly unique to the genre. Earl Scruggs is a charter member of that exclusive club. And God he made it look sooooooo easy!

    R.I.P. Earl

With the death of Earl Scruggs, the last of the great pioneers of bluegrass banjo are gone. If is unlikely that we’ll see persons as influential as Don Reno and Earl Scruggs again. As Ken noted, Scruggs made it look so effortless, but it is not – it is hard work and many hours of practice, plus (no doubt) some devine spark of inspiration.

    RIP
