One of my favorite songs of hers. I like listening to this song while driving in the car. Also love her stage banter in this performance.

Love the train sound made by the steel guitar! Also love the line “he eats money like a train eats coal.”

I remember when this song first came out; I thought it was about the neatest thing I’d ever heard.

One of my favorite country songs, period. Only in country music could a song like this be allowed to shine. It sounds very retro now, but it’s a classic. The first of many train songs in Cash’s career.

Ever heard Asleep at the Wheel do it?

I didn’t even know Asleep at the Wheel recorded this – or even performed it. I’ll seek that out immediately.

This is one of my favorite Rosanne Cash songs, and is clearly very influenced by Johnny Cash with its sound and the theme. Rosanne’s homage, if you will, to her musical heritage. Just excellent.
