    Good stuff – I remember the song as one of Waylon’s earliest hits. In fact, this song and “Stop The World (And Let Me Off)” are the first two Waylon recordings I recall hearing

    I’m usually the “odd man out” on this topic, but I actually preferred Waylon’s music before he grew his hair long and became an “outlaw.” Lots of twang and great COUNTRY sounding songs. “(That’s What You Get) For Lovin’ Me”, “Only Daddy That’ll Walk The Line,” “Mental Revenge,” “The Chokin’ Kind,” and “Yours Love” are Waylon at his best in my book.
    If you can find the out of print RCA CD “Waylon Jennings – The Early Years” you’ll get most of these tunes.

    The 1966 top 20 Harlan Howard song in this video is a keeper too.

    I agree Ken – I prefer the early Waylon, although I have most of his albums, regardless of when they were issued
