September Giveaway: 10 Song Gift Bag

Regular readers might notice that we generally do a giveaway each month to go with our Spotlight Artist.  Since there are so many this month, we’ve decided to take a different approach.  Rather than giving you the chance to win a CD, or a set of CDs, we’re going to give you the chance to make your own album by downloading any 10 songs you’d like from amazon’s mp3 store.  (And they don’t have to be new traditionalist country, though I’d recommend at least a couple from that sub-genre.)

Fairly often these days, I find myself browsing the amazon (or iTunes) mp3 store, randomly adding songs to my cart.  Usually, before I know it, I am at the checkout with way more music than I logged on to buy and I find myself asking: “How did 1 song become 8?”  I’m guessing you’ve been there too.  My Kind of Country is offering to foot the bill for your next music splurge, and all we ask in return is a little ole’ comment.

To enter, recommend 10 tracks that you would buy right now, if they were free of charge.  One lucky winner will get the chance to buy the 10 tracks they posted, or 10 others if they so choose, in the form of a $10 giftcard from amazon.com.  Leave a comment before midnight September 30 for your chance to win!

We’re a little overdue in announcing a winner, but better late than never. The lucky winner is ….. Leeann!!! We’ll be in touch shortly to make arrangements to get the gift card to you. Bet you thought we forgot, didn’t you?? 😉

Thanks to everyone who participated.

This is a great give away. I do the same thing; one turns into a few. I’ll have to come back with a list, because I typically buy a song if I think of it.

Amazon has been raking in my money lately (and if not them then iTunes) I’d love to let you take over for a splurge

That’s assuming these songs are even available at Amazon! Between listening to online radio shows that feature these types of songs, MySpace music, and blogs like this one I come across all kinds of cool songs I’d like to pick up as singles. For some surprising reason most tend to be songs from previous decades! (lol)
