Although as individual performers neither Porter nor Dolly are among my favorites, as a duo they were absolutely the best. In fact, they were …the right combination

I will admit too that I never got into Porter Wagoner as a solo artist, save for a handful of songs. I’ve always loved Dolly, but her duets with Porter are some of my favorite classic country moments. This is a great performance, but my favorite will always be ‘Please Don’t Stop Loving Me’.

I’m actually more a fan of Porter’s than Dolly’s (although I cherish my copy, purchased in 1967, of her first real album on Monument)

My favorites were “Lost Forever In Your Kiss” and “The Last Thing On My Mind”
