Possible sneak preview of Sara Evans’ new album: ‘What That Drink Cost Me’

Sara performed this song at last year’s CMA Music Festival. Hopefully it will appear on her upcoming album next year.

It will, that’s why she performed the son =) I think its one of her finest performances and one of the most promising songs I’ve heard

Sara’s been performing it at her regular concerts too, on a regular basis. The best I’ve heard so far from the new album.

I am hopeful, but by no means certain it will end up on Sara’s new record…too many delays, too many changes already, I take nothing for granted.” In The Pines” was also supposed to be on this one, but now there is doubt about that.

Still I am eagerly anticipating Sara’s new album. 🙂

I saw her in 2008 and I just loved “In the Pines” so I hope that (and this song) are on her new album

I’ve also heard “Desperately” and “Anywhere” from the new album, and I like those songs as well

Desperately I can do without, Anywhere isn’t bad, but I absolutely love Sara and sister’s version of Bill Monroe’s” In The Pines”. Bluegrass and hard-core Country is the kinda stuff Sara was born to sing! 😉

“Anywhere” is really catchy, especially the intro to the song, which they use for the intro to Sara Evans’ “Webisodes” xD

I hope they release that next and have a successful hit with it, because I want new stuff from Sara Evans to listen to!

Wow, Sara still knows her way around a great Country song. I am very encouraged by this, and am hoping the “back to the drawing board” delay is for the purpose of allowing this song to reset the tone for the whole album.

This song in terms of its sound just feels like a ‘Cheatin’ 2.0′ for me… but in a good way, like an even better cousin of it =) hehe

Awesome performance. I have been a real fan of Sara since I saw her play at Billy Bob’s in 2004 or so (she was about 5 months pregnant, gorgeous as all get out, and sang like an angel).

This is a wonderful new song, and I look forward to picking up the record on iTunes when it comes out. This is a classic song that’s destined to be a big hit.

“What That Drink Cost Me” definitely is my favorite among the new songs Sara has been singing the past year. Great hook, memorable chorus. I hope it — as well as a live, a cappella version of “In The Pines” with Sara’s sisters harmonizing — makes the new album.

I’m with ya Pam, keeping my fingers crossed for” In the Pines” especially, with Lesley and Ashley. And hopefully Sara makes that a springboard for a whole Bluegrass album in the future.
