Lovely. And he looks so young…

Who was that with Patrick Duffy? I thought it was Delta Burke until she started talking … Is it Marie Osmond? if so, she sure looks different from the way I remember her. On a second look, the teeth do look like the Marie Osmond I remember.

Great performance of a great song.

This song is arguably the most important single release in the past 30 years, because this is the song that finally kicked the new traditionalist movement into full gear.

I saw Randy live last Thursday and he was fantastic. There aren’t many artists out there who will do an encore consisting of a Hank Williams medley and a couple of his favorite Haggard songs.

I didn’t notice his voice sounding bad on those bonus tracks. I have noticed some problems in recent live television performances though.

I wouldn’t go so far as to say that he sounded terrible on the bonus tracks, but his voice has been showing some signs of wear and tear. Play those tracks — and the whole Around The Bend album, for that matter, alongside of his older material and there’s a distinct difference. I’m very puzzled as to why his voice hasn’t held up better. He wasn’t one to shout or oversing or abuse his voice and he’s only 50 years old. Most male vocalists still have most of their vocal power well past that age.
