My favorite Tanya Tucker song is “Soon”because it it such an emotional and sincere song and Tanya does a great job singing it.

Two Sparrows in a Hurricane — because it always reminded me of my grandparents — they started out very young, right after my grandmother had lost three sisters in a house fire and was badly burned herself and had three children, four grandchildren, were together until my grandfather passed away 5 months short of their 50th wedding anniversary — and when she sings that song you know that she loves her parents and that everything she feels for them is in that song….

Well, there’s a lot to choose from, but I’d say “Strong Enough to Bend, “Texas ‘Til I Die” and “Tell MAbout It” (with Delbert McClinton).

My favorite Tanya Tucker song (for today anyway) is “Love Me Like You Used To”. I gave up on country music sometime in the late 90s — just totally quit listening because I didn’t like what I was hearing. One day I was channel surfing while driving and hit upon “Love Me Like You Used To” and said, dang! this is what country music is supposed to sound like. The one song brought me back.

To try to pick one Tanya song that I can say is my favorite is such a hard thing to do. But I will have to say “Spring”. I remember listening to it as a child and feeling how powerful Tanya made the song. I would think what would I do if my mother passed. Where would I go? I was so happy when I heard it on her live cd a few years ago.

  6. patrice June 17, 2009 at 10:44 pm

these songs’love me like you used to ‘, and’ spring,’ are really right on the money !!! but also one of tanya’s great songs is’ changes’ , the song she co-wrote about the end of her relationship with glen campbell.and another one i think she did great was a song from her album , would you lay with me (in a field of stone),’ the baptism of jesse taylor’ ..in CHRIST,patrice……

It’s a tie between “Blood Red and Going Down” and “What’s Your Mamma’s Name”. Both classics. Both timeless. Both pure country sung by one of the best country singers of our time. Like Dee, I got out of country in the late 90s and there are very few artists today that can still suck me into the country genre. Tanya is one of them.

My favorite Tanya song is hard to choose , but if I had to I would say is “It’s a little to late” from her Can’t run from yourself cd. I love Tanya’s free spirit and her Personality. Ireally enjoy all her music.

  9. Chad June 19, 2009 at 12:08 pm

My favorite song of hers is “soon” because I love songs that take a twist at the end. Thinking about it, it makes sense that “Stay” by Sugarland is one of my favorite songs in the past few years as its a similar theme.

my favorite song is hangin´ in because it was that song i heard when i met my wife by the way all off her songs is great

My favorite song is “two sparrows in a hurricane”, because to me it gives out the message that your never to young to fall in love, and that no matter what people tell you, fall in love, listen to your heart, don’t give up just because the world tells you too. When Tanya sings this song it helps me to know this isn’t just a song, this is what happens in the real world, this is country.

My favourite Tanya Tucker song is “Without you, what do I do with me” It was a song my husband and I sang to each other in our basement on weekends when he would come home from being on the road all week. He was a truck driver and loved playing guitar and singing. He died seventeen years ago and although I have since remarrried, I still sing that song and I thank Tanya for such an emotional expression of that song. No one can sing it as good as she can.

    “Daddy and Home”

I am a huge Jimmie Rodgers fan, and I loved her version of the song – I just wish she had recorded more of his songs

I can’t pick just one Tanya song, so I’ll narrow it down to three of my favorites:

    ‘Blood Red And Going Down’
‘(Without You) What Do I Do With Me’
    ‘Ridin’ Out The Heartache’

  15. Razor X June 20, 2009 at 11:11 am

If I were forced to come up with just one, I’d go with “Soon”. It’s a tough call, though, because I really like the vast majority of the music Tanya has done. She’s got a great track record for coming up with first-rate material.

  16. MD Lewis June 20, 2009 at 7:43 pm

I’d have to say my 3 favs are: Love Me Like U Used To, If Your Heart Ain’t Busy Tonight & Can I See U Tonight? They’re all three songs about different aspects of love that many of us have gone through!

  17. highwayman3 June 21, 2009 at 1:04 pm

“Two Sparrows In A Hurricane” because its just a great song, and her voice sounds so good on it.

  18. Karlie June 21, 2009 at 3:37 pm

I don’t know if it’s my favorite, but I really like her version of “When Will I Be Loved.” She has some grit that adds something to the cover.

  19. CMW June 21, 2009 at 9:19 pm

I’m not very up on my Tanya Tucker, to be honest, but a favorite is “Texas When I Die.”

  20. plain_jo June 21, 2009 at 9:59 pm

Delta Dawn- is the one that gets me every time I hear it. She has such an amazing voice. Can’t wait for the new album i love cover albums!

I love “Two Sparrows and a Hurricane” because it is very true to life. It’s the story how an average American couple goes thru life. Listening to it I can picture my life there.

Oh, jeez. My favorite TT song? I honestly love just about everything she’s ever released but I could proably narrow it down to “Lizzie & the Rainman” and “Soon.”

  24. Danny Edwards June 22, 2009 at 1:35 pm

My favorite Tanya Tucker song is “Oh What It Did To Me”. The emotion in her voice on that song (and every other song she does) is amazing.

  25. Jordan Stacey June 22, 2009 at 5:34 pm

My Favorite is “Two Sparrows In a Hurricane” it’s been a favorite for as long as I can remember. There’s just something so beautiful about that song.

  26. Annie June 23, 2009 at 7:26 am

My favorite is “San Antonio Stroll”. It’s hard to pick just one – this one has a lot of sentimental value to me.

  27. dale schmucker June 23, 2009 at 11:23 pm

blood red and going down. It don’t get any better then this

  28. Sabrina5000 June 24, 2009 at 11:50 pm

I like that one about the walkin’ shoes. Gonna put on my walkin songs tonight. I thought that was a cool song. She had so many amazing songs. I seen her at the fair when she was 13 with her dad and she was just awesome. She rode around the arena on a big beautiful horse and everyone loved her. She even took the time to shake hands. They don’t make em more country than Tanya.

  29. Sheldon June 25, 2009 at 9:48 am

“We Don’t Have to do This” and “The Auction” are two great Tanya songs…well worth seeking out and having a listen to.

  30. Lisa June 28, 2009 at 7:42 pm

I love all of Tanya’s songs. They are all unique! But one of my favorites is “Strong Enought To Bend.” I think it says it all. We have to be able to bend sometimes, you know. She puts such feeling in any song she sings. She’s just amazing!! They ain’t anyone like T.

  31. Karlie July 8, 2009 at 9:32 pm

    Thanks again for the CD!

  32. Mattias September 7, 2009 at 11:24 am

My Turn is great! Good country classics that Tanya does so well. She could even have recorded more songs on the album, ah yes! She’ s number 1 in women in country business. Outstanding voice!
