    Top drawer repeaters from 1949 & 1959, The 1969 song “Running Bear” was written by The Big Bopper and was a #1 pop hit for Johnny Preston in 1960.

    Sonny’s version will be with us for two more weeks. The Johnny Horton song still has six more weeks to run. Hank’s song disappears next week (or the week after) but will reappear later
