My Kind of Country

Country music from a fan's point of view since 2008

YouTube Finds

Once in a while I still marvel at technology – even things we take for granted now – like YouTube.  It’s been just over 4 years since 3 former PayPal employees created the video sharing site, but it seems that it’s always been there now.  What would we do without music videos and all these great performances from past awards shows, interviews, and all the other great videos we now have at our immediate, constant disposal?  I’m still amazed sometimes by it all.

So, I want to share with you two of my favorite YouTube finds in the last few months – and invite you to share your own in the comments.

From The Judds Farewell Tour, 1991.

The 1995 CMA Awards.

What are some of your favorite YouTube finds lately?

That George and Tammy clip always makes me feel sad, because it shows how much Tammy was fading. Her voice was failing her, and it’s just heartbreaking. This is an important clip, though, because it’s one of , if not THE last time they performed together.

I agree, VERY poignant…but man, they still sounded amazing together, even under the circumstances.

And great topic JR, and I agree at your marveling at YouTube…what a treasure of a resource it has been for us Country music lovers!

Love the Judds clip, they are very amazing and I wish I was older when they were big. xD

I’m so dissapointed the Judds had to call it quits, I think they sound the best together, and made some of their best music when they were a team.

Not sure why the video didn’t post, let’s try again. Anyway, it’s Daniel Prayed from a PBS special All Star Bluegrass Celebration
