    Staff aren’t eligible. Sorry. 😉

I have this CD, and I must say that it really is one of my favortie covers albums. The final track, “Imagine” is to die for.

My favorite Dolly song at the moment is “My Blue Ridge Mountain Boy”. In short, this song is proof of my claim that Dolly is the greatest songwriter to ever walk the earth.

My favorite Dolly song is Jolene, I’ve always loved the song.

Fancy.. its a brutal song.. but the tune is light… a strange mesh that just works. Weird pick, I know.

  6. Razor X February 16, 2009 at 2:26 pm

Dolly didn’t do Fancy; that was Reba.

This is a good CD, which means I already have it.:) So, I don’t need to be included in the drawing. People who read Country Universe may recall that my favorite Dolly song is “Coat of Many Colors.”

I have many favorites – depends on what day you ask me! her version of “We Had It All” (you-tube it…) is filled with heartbreak. Her ’82 version (from “Whorehouse”) of I Will Always Love You is the best version (she’s done it a bunch of times…) She’s a great writer – so much of her music is buried on long out-of-print LPs. She really is worth checking out by buying old LPs etc…she is vastly underrated.

My favorite Dolly song is “I Will Always Love You”, just a beautiful song. I do not have this CD. Dolly has always been a favorite of mine. I have seen her in concert before, and once at DollyWood.

“Here You Come Again” – bar none – love the melody, love the piano, love the performance

I don’t want to enter the contest (I already have the CD) but I would like to mention my favorite Dolly song: “Light of a Clear Blue Morning”
2nd fave: “But You Know I Love You”

Those two never get skipped when they pop up on the iPod shuffle.

Also, I know not many people really liked it, but I always enjoyed her 1996 covers album Treasures. 🙂

I have the CD so don’t pick me, but I LOVE …

    “Here You Come Again”
“Light of a Clear Blue Morning” (both versions)
    “You’re the Only One”
    “God Won’t Get You”
    “Don’t Call It Love”
    “Country Road”
    “More Where That Came From”

I’ve been thinking about it for a few days now; it’s really hard to narrow it down to a few songs, don’t mind just one, but here goes, in no particular order:

    My Blue Ridge Mountain Boy
    I Will Always Love You
    Mule Skinner Blues
    Rockin’ Years
    The Grass Is Blue
    Coat of Many Colors
    Put It Off Until Tomorrow

My favorite has always been Jolene. With I Will Always Love You coming in a close second!

  16. Tim February 22, 2009 at 8:21 pm

I Will Always Love You is my favorite song. Great giveaway
