Jerry Lee Lewis is just to idiocentric for anyone to really harmonize with, even Emmylou Harris
I agree that Jerry Lee is a totally self-absorbed egomaniac but he did quite well on duets with his sister Linda Gail. This clip appears to me that the duo was just thrown together on the set with little preparation. Even worse Jerry Lee doesn’t seem to be trying to make eye contact with Emmylou to help with the musical cues.
Um, Paul, that’s not a word in the English language–but if you meant “idiosyncratic,” you may have a point.
This is definaltely no the best version of this song.
