    For a few years, Johnny Darrell was my favorite country artist and his albums (I have them all) are among my most treasured albums. He didn’t have a lot of luck, and his label really didn’t give him the promotional push he deserved, but he had a great ear for selecting songs and a very distinctive vocal style. This song was penned by labelmate Bobby Goldsboro, who wrote the liner notes for Johnny’s WITH PEN IN HAND album
