I am a big Conway Twitty fan, particularly of his output from 1966-1979. By the time this track came along, I’d lost interest in his music. This was one of his better post-1980 tracks, although I’d take almost anything he did before 1980 in preference to this track. I liked that Blake Shelton paid homage to Twitty by recording one of Conway’s songs – I just wish he’d picked a different song

Even so, this song shreds almost anything I hear played on country radio these days

They don’t make country music like that anymore. I loved Conway and I was floored also when I heard he died. It was a shame he never made it to Australia RIP Conway.

I remember being floored when I heard on the radio that he died. Completely unexpected. Conway gets way too little respect now, though it seems that “Family Guy” has brought him to some new audiences.
