Loretta’s great version of Connie Francis’ #1 pop hit. Connie’s MGM single spent 3 weeks on the country chart peaking at #24 during the first week of August 1960. Connie’s record might have performed better on the country survey but she had to compete with a cover version by Ernest Tubb on Decca. “Ev’rybody’s Somebody’s Fool” climbed to #16 for E.T. in September.

It’s a nice change of pace to see and hear Loretta not singing about pummelling some trailer trash broad!
