Wow if you people are going to say those things about trace Adkins then you obviously don’t know what good country is. Yes I agree that everyone is entitled to their own opinion but if you have bad things to say about trace then keep them to yourselves because some people like him unlike you. Some of us are willing to pay money for his tickets and some of us like hearing his songs on the radio. Just because you don’t that’s not everyone else’s problem so keep your opinions to yourself!!

Well, radio seems to play his crap songs more often than his good ones — so those are the ones people hear the most of, and those who like that sort of thing are probably more likely to buy his concert tickets.

That’s an interesting thought. It was a whoop it up crowd for sure, but I went in expecting that. It also seems like Adkins is effectively cultivating that kind of fan base. The average audience member that night was plenty loud, and it seemed I got the worst of the lot in Section 112.

I wonder if maybe the parts of the audience who like Trace’s worst stuff are the ones who shout the loudest, gib=ving Trace the impression they’re wahat everyone wants to hear?

Well, this is disappointing to hear. I wouldn’t expect to like every number Trace did but it sounds like he served up an extra-large helping of the really bad stuff. I don’t know what he’s thinking sometimes. When his songs are great, they’re really great. But way too often, they are absolute crap.

I’m lucky that the only time I saw him in concert was at the Bloomsburg Fair in 2002, before the Brown Cow Badonkadonk garbage – although Chrome was not a favorite of mine. Diamond Rio shared the billing with Trace. The big man sounded good that night. My only disappointment was that he didn’t sing “Help Me Understand”.

Unfortunately, this isn’t much different from what he did when I saw him with Martina a year or two ago. Such a waste of a great voice.
